Who we are
Pachamama Raymi is above all a team of excellent farmers, capable and committed, permanently available to participants in our projects, to provide ongoing training and to pass on their experience.
Our team
At present our team of farmers consists of some 50 persons:
- 5 Coordinators
- 15 experts farmers
- 26 facilitators

Our administrative team has three persons, distributed among our offices in Cusco and Ica, Peru.

Rural and urban development with equity

Contribute to improving living conditions of the population, improving health, education, employment and economic development

Strengthen local governments for economic and social development, including people's participation

Promote quality standards in local and regional government

Board of Directors
Wim van Immerzeel Willem H.M. van Immerzeel (President), Dutch, MSc in soil and water management from the University of Wageningen. He has worked in rural development since 1981, in different projects and countries, including Guinea Bissau, Bangladesh, Peru, Nicaragua, and others. He has worked as team leader, consultant, etc. He designed and implemented the methodology Pachamama Raymi in PRODERM. Mr. Van Immerzeel designed Pachamama Raymi in the late eighties and implemented this methodology in many projects in Latin America. He is founding partner of DEXCEL-International and president of DEXCEL-Peru.
Huub van der Zel Huub van der Zel (Vice-President), Dutch, MSc in soil and water management from the University of Wageningen, with over 40 years of experience in projects of international cooperation, related with natural resources management, and rural development. He has known the methodology Pachamama Raymi, from its very beginnings, when it was first developed in PRODERM (a Dutch – European Union project, in Cusco Peru), during the late eighties. As co-director in different projects of the European Union, he applied Pachamama Raymi in Guatemala and Chile. Mr. Van der Zel is president of DEXCEL International.
Jesús Astete Veria Jesús Astete Veria (Treasurer), Economist, with specialized studies in research methodology and applied statistics from the ULB, Brussels. Consultant with over 20 years working in development projects for European agencies (KfW, IFAD, Cordaid, European Union, TdH Switzerland, among others) and numerous local and international NGOs. Specialist impact studies, corporate and project evaluations, socio-economic research. Base Line Studies, Systems Monitoring and Evaluation. Advice on institutional strengthening projects and policies for sustainable human development. University Teaching.
Antoine Briot (Secretary), French and Peruvian, Cameraman. After 13 years working in fictions, documentaries and advertizing, he moved to peru. As part of his profession he had several opportunities to share time with farmers in South America and Africa, most of all in the area Paucartambo.
