PACHAMAMA RAYMI is a methodology of peer learning, capable of producing profound change, within a very short time and on a very large scale. It is being used in a growing number of projects in Latin America.

Instruments for learning for development

As Pachamama Raymi is a methodology of peer learning, the best performing families and organizations need to be found continuously, to share their knowledge and know-how with others. The search for “the best” is done in a systematic and reiterative manner, for example, through “contests and learning by comparison”. People learn by doing, “learning from the best”, replicating and improving upon the best. This is how many practices are greatly improved upon by a very large percentage of the population.

These contests are used in Latin American as a tool to stimulate learning, innovation and the general application of “best practices”.

DEXCEL developed and documents this important tool. We share the publications with you on DEXCEL's Webpage.

For example: “Poverty, how to accelerate change. Experience, results and focus of an innovative methodology from Latin America” is available in English, French and Spanish (pdf-files).

The book "Learning from the best, local-knowledge management for development" (Spanish) provides e complete theoretical and practical overview ot the methodology Pachamama Raymi.
