Progress is not "normal " in the districts of Checca and Kunturkanki
Some 1,200 participants registered in the districts of Checca and Kunturkanki (Province of Canas, Cusco) for the first competition of the Apu Ritti Raymi, of PACC-Peru and implemented by Pachamama Raymi. The verdict of the Jury came In March 2011. After counting all the notes, we made some graphs, distinguishing between a small group of families who had been trained for 10 years by a MASSAL project and by the "Mancomunidad ALTIVA-CANAS project. The average grades of these families are shown in the graph as "advanced" ("avanzados"), You can see that the distribution of their grades is "normal" and is shaped like a bell (bottom right of the graph). You can also see that these families on average got higher grades than the other families, the "beginners" ("principiantes").
It is interesting to see that many "beginners" had higher grades than the average "advanced" family, as shown in the graph. But we also see that the distribution of grades for the "beginners" is not "normal". It is not a regular shaped bell, it seems to have a lump to the right. Would this be the effect of "diffusion" of the training contents from the "advanced" families? "learning some things from the families who had learned from the projects?
We would have to look more closely to know what happened .... and why the distribution the grades for the "beginners is not normal.
