(General) Exchange of experiences in fish farming
A practice that has demonstrated its worth in Cusco is the building of simple fish farms. These are so straightforward that they may be nothing more than a muddy hole in the ground with a PVC pipe water supply. These installations are interesting due to their low cost. This enables a low-income family to start their fish farm and eat trout all year round (a good source of protein, in their back garden!).
When this type of fish farms was first promoted in Castrovirreyna, the workers of Care Peru didn’t believe in them, and that only more complex infrastructure would work. Now that the results are apparent, they have decided to replicate this practice in other areas where they work.
